First thoughts

I am a nursing student in North Dakota and I am a wife and mother of three beautiful children. I am republican and black. I am Seventh Day Adventist. I try to be the best christian that I can be. I am bipolar. I am adopted. I am in a mixed marriage. I am very diverse.

Today I would like to discuss why marriages fall apart. I belive that marriage is a beautiful thing. But too many times people enter marriages for the wrong reasons. Also too many people divorce without really trying to work through their problems. I know two couples who divorced within two years of marriage. One divorced due to changes in their sexual habits. The other due to financial difficulties. I have been married going on five years and my husband and I have been through both of those situations and we made it through. The number one thing that we did was we talked to each other, even if we didn't want too. Communication is the single most important part of a marriage that is also the easiest to stop doing. No one likes to talk to people that they are in disagreement with, but in a mariage you don't have a choice in the matter.
